Jyoti Sehgal is a Senior Consultant at the Institute of Neurosciences. She has worked as a consultant neurologist at Medanta Medicity Hospital. Dr. JMK Murthy in Hyderabad taught her clinical neurology skills. Stroke, electrophysiology, and critical care are her areas of expertise in neurology. She was a pioneer in obtaining stroke code activation at Medanta, and she feels that handling stroke patients is a collaborative effort in which all specialties collaborate under one roof. She is particularly interested in electrophysiology, which is used to diagnose neuropathies, brachial plexus injuries, and muscle diseases. Her critical care interest has helped in designing various protocols for emergencies involving neurological disorders.
