He was awarded Membership of National Academy of Medical Sciences in Orthopedics in 1982 and became Diplomat National Board in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation in 1984. Later in 1986 he was awarded the Fellow of International College of Surgeons. He joined the faculty as Asstt. Prof. in Deptt. of Orthopedics G.S.V.M. Medical College, Kanpur in Dec. 1980 and after 23 years of distinguished service, he took voluntary retirement from service in Nov. 2003.
