Dr B Ramesh is the Head of Cardiology Department at Apollo Hospitals. Previously he was a Professor of Cardiology in Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology, Bengaluru. He joined this institute in 1987 as a registrar in DM Cardiology, completed DM in 1989, became Assistant Professor in 1990, and Professor in 1995.
He trains DM cardiology fellows from all over India. He is one of the pioneering Interventional cardiologist from Bengaluru having performed thousands of Angioplasties, Balloon mitral Valvuloplasties, pacemaker implantations in his long career of more than 35 years. He started as a consultant cardiologist at Apollo Hospital, Bengaluru since its inception in 2007 and now heads the Cardiology Department.
He started Ramesh Cardiology Clinic in Banashankari 2nd stage, in 2011 with state of the art facilities for diagnosis and management of cardiac ailments.
Dr. B. Ramesh is one of the leading interventional cardiologists in Bengaluru, Karnataka. He got his MBBS degree from Jagadguru Jayadeva Murugarajendra Medical College (JJMMC) in 1982. Dr. B. Ramesh completed his MD in General Medicine at the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum and DM in Cardiology at the Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, Bangalore. He has expertise in clinical and interventional cardiology. Dr. B. Ramesh is a member of the Indian Medical Association (IMA). Dr. Ramesh has performed over 500 device closures for atrial septal defect, 5000 angioplasties, and more than 7000 balloon mitral valvotomies. He has also performed 132 percutaneous transluminal septal myocardial ablations for hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy. Dr. Ramesh is a highly experienced cardiologist in pacemaker implantations. Dr. B. Ramesh has started his own 'Ramesh Cardiology Clinic' in Bengaluru with state-of-the-art facilities to diagnose and manage cardiac ailments.
