Dr. Naresh Trehan is the Chairman and Managing Director of Medanta. Dr. Naresh Trehan is a world-renowned cardiothoracic and cardiovascular surgeon. The Government of India bestowed upon him the coveted Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri awards. Dr. Trehan has performed over 48,000 successful open heart surgeries and is the driving force behind the one-of-a-kind institution. He is also an ex-President of the International Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery. He is a member of the Scientific Council of the American College of Angiology in the U.S.A., a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal "Heart Surgery Forum", President of the Indian Health Care Federation.
