Dr Beena holds a Doctorate in Medicine (DM) degree in Endocrinology from SGPGIMS, Lucknow. and is passionate about exploring medicine beyond the boundaries of science, where it interacts with humanities. She conducted a series of conversations (FEM 2019, FEM2020, Humanising Medicine 2022) with psychologists and social scientists to address and fill this gap between training and practise. She is founder & director of door to care, an Endocrine & Diabetes Clinic & Research center. She was previously director in division of Endocrinology at Medanta, the Medicity, where she set up protocols for inpatient diabetes management, also part of a new careops venture. She also a not for profit society called Saksham-a type 1 diabetes welfare society.
